The PUP on Montel Williams Show

Florida Woman’s PUP Invention is “Top Dog” on National Talk Show

When The Montel Williams Show hits the airwaves on Monday, June 16, he will introduce a product called the “PUP” to his studio audience and the rest of America.

The PUP, which stands for Personal Utility Pouch, is the brainchild of Melbourne resident, Jean Newell. The former real estate agent says the multi-purpose, unisex bag was developed to help keep her from misplacing things. “I was tired of calling my own misplaced cell phone to find its whereabouts!” The easy-to-carry-bag is designed to hold personal and professional items in an organized accessory. Newell says, “It has become a big hit in my circle of fellow baby boomers.”
Williams, who will be giving the bags away to his audience, called them “a really great thing.” The PUPs were also included in 300 celebrity gift bags during the talk show host’s recent MS Foundation Fundraiser/Poker Event in New York. Newell says she had the opportunity to offer the bags to the Show’s Producer while attending one of his tapings.
Another opportunity for the newest Boomerpreneur came when she was invited by QVC, to pitch her product there. As a result of booming sales, she made more than 35 appearances on the nation’s leading shopping network.

The 61-year-old credits her success to hard work and years of experience. “It’s a blessing to have lived long enough, to go through trial and error and to still have the desire and drive to be successful. It seems as if I’ve gone from being considered an “ol’ bag” to a bag lady---and a successful one at that!”
